Jim Rockwell is a managing director for the Midwest region. His responsibilities include advising clients with wealth transfer planning and administration. Jim was previously a financial principal and partner at Lowry Hill.
Before joining the Lowry Hill team, Jim practiced law for 20 years at the national law firms of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi and Popham, Haik , Schnobrich & Kaufman. In his practice, Jim specialized in wealth transfer planning and administration and represented fiduciaries and beneficiaries in disputes arising from estate and trust issues. Jim is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
Jim has taught as an adjunct professor at both the William Mitchell College of Law and the University of St. Thomas School of Law. He is a past board member of Catholic Charities of St. Paul & Minneapolis and The Minneapolis Foundation.
Jim and his wife, Helen, live in Edina, Minnesota. They have four children and four young grandchildren.
