Curt McLeod is a portfolio manager on the Asset Management team. He is responsible for development and execution of investment strategies for clients of Abbot Downing. Curt offers more than 25 years experience in investment management.
Before joining Abbot Downing, Curt was a portfolio manager for Arbor Capital Management for nearly ten years where he was responsible for managing investment portfolios, conducting direct company research, and servicing clients of pension and endowment plans. Prior to Arbor, Curt was a partner and senior portfolio manager for two institutional investment boutiques in Minneapolis. Curt began his investment career at Piper Jaffray as a research analyst before joining Piper’s asset management division, Piper Capital Management, where he helped build and manage mutual funds and the institutional investment management business.
Curt received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Minnesota. In addition, Curt is a mentor for the Aristotle Fund at the University of St. Thomas’ Opus College of Business.
Curt lives in St. Paul with his wife, Lynette, and their twin daughters.
