Co-Chair of Asset Allocation Committee
Douglas Beath is the co-chair of the Asset Allocation Committee at Abbot Downing. Prior to his current role, Doug was a portfolio manager for the Foundations and Endowments group. Prior to that role, he helped manage institutional assets for the Wells Capital Quantitative Asset Management team. Doug has over 30 years of investment experience in multiple areas of the investment business.
Prior to Abbot Downing, Doug was a portfolio manager in the Quantitative Asset Management area for Wells Capital Management in Minneapolis, where he co-managed the Global Tactical Asset Allocation Fund and the Wealth Builder Portfolios. He was a member of the WCM Investment Policy Committee and had responsibility for WCM’s Capital Market Assumptions.
Doug received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in business administration at Fordham University.
Doug and his wife, Lori, are raising three daughters at their home in Woodbury, Minnesota.
