Gary Larsen is a director of Asset Management in the Los Angeles office. He is responsible for providing investment management solutions including fixed income, equity and complementary strategies for clients of Abbot Downing. He currently serves on the Abbot Downing national fixed income strategy team, and he has served on the Global Fixed Income Council for the Wealth Brokerage & Retirement division of Wells Fargo. Gary has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years both in dealer/underwriting and in investment management capacities.
Prior to Abbot Downing, Gary was a director of Investments for Wells Fargo Family Wealth and co-head of fixed income strategy for the Wells Fargo Private Bank. Before joining Wells Fargo in 2006, Gary worked at U.S. Trust Company for 10 years. He worked at City National Bank and Security Pacific Bank prior to his role with U.S. Trust.
Gary earned a master’s degree from Princeton University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California in Irvine. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles, where he volunteers as a course instructor. Gary is a past vice chairman of the California Public Securities Association and serves on the board and the executive committee of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.
Gary and his wife, Sandi, live in Palos Verdes, where both they and their children grew up.
