Chief Fiduciary Officer
Jason Davis is the Chief Fiduciary Officer for Abbot Downing. In this role, Jason integrates fiduciary principles, prudent investment practices, wealth planning knowledge and business acumen into Abbot Downing’s service offering. Jason is responsible for fiduciary oversight of advisory-based services to clients in collaboration with Abbot Downing’s Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Wealth Planners, Private Bankers, as well as other team members.
Prior to his current role, Jason joined Calibre (a predecessor to Wells Fargo Family Wealth) in 2004 and served as Relationship Manager for Abbot Downing’s Northeast Region. In that role, Jason was responsible for managing complex client relationships with an emphasis on fiduciary management, charitable, wealth transfer, tax and generational planning for individuals, families and charitable organizations.
Before joining Calibre, Jason worked in private practice for nearly 10 years, including positions with a boutique law firm in Rancho Santa Fe, California and a large international law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jason has advised individuals and families of wealth in connection with wealth transfer, tax and generational planning for individuals, and business succession planning for family businesses. His advisory services also have addressed charitable matters, including entity structure, and fiduciaries on trust and estate administration matters. In addition, he has represented clients in litigation and has argued motions before various California Courts, including at the Appellate Level.
Jason graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in business. He earned his master of laws in taxation and his juris doctor from Villanova University School of Law where he was a member of the Villanova Law Review. Jason is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council.
Jason and his wife, Silke, and their three children make their home on the South Shore of Boston, in Cohasset, Massachusetts.
