Jeffrey R. Erickson

Jeff is a managing director of Asset Management at Abbot Downing. He leads Abbot Downing’s Global 25 equity strategy and is involved with asset allocation for client portfolios. Prior to Abbot Downing, Jeff was an investment principal at Lowry Hill. Jeff joined Lowry Hill in 2000 to help establish the Naples, Florida office.
Jeff has 33 years of investment related experience in the United States and Switzerland. Before joining Lowry Hill, he was a portfolio manager for Advantus Capital where he managed $1.5 billion for mutual funds and other institutional clients. Prior to joining Advantus Capital, Jeff was the North American equity strategist for Credit Suisse, and an emerging market equity analyst in Geneva, Switzerland. He began his career as a financial analyst focused in the areas of stocks, fixed income private placements, and oil and gas limited partnerships.
Jeff earned a master of business administration degree in finance with a concentration in applied security analysis and a bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in economics and international business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jeff is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and a member of the CFA Institute. He is a former president of the Naples Financial Analysts Society and has been a member of the CFA Society of Minnesota or CFA Society of Naples since 1987. Jeff has served on the board of the Community Foundation of Collier County and is the former chair of its Investment Committee. Jeff’s comments on investment strategy have appeared in international, national, and local media including The Wall Street Transcript, Toronto’s The Globe and Mail, Florida Trend, The Business Journal of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Gulfshore Business, Twin Cities Business, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and the Naples Daily News.
