Joyner is a vice president and portfolio manager in Abbot Downing’s Winston-Salem office. He is responsible for providing clients with strategic long-term investment guidance through Abbot Downing’s disciplined, comprehensive, and objective investment planning process. Joyner has over 20 years of investment and finance experience and joined Wachovia Bank, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Bank, in 2007.
Prior to Abbot Downing, Joyner held previous positions in portfolio management, investment banking, and public accounting.
Joyner earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in economics and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He later earned a master’s degree in business administration with distinction from Wake Forest University.
Joyner is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and holds the Certified Public Accountant designation (not currently practicing). He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society North Carolina.
