Senior Portfolio Manager
Kyle Jorgensen is a senior portfolio manager in the Foundations and Endowments group and works out of the Minneapolis office. In this role, Kyle is responsible for investment strategy and implementation for institutional clients. Kyle has been in the investment business for 10 years, primarily working with institutional and ultra-high-net-worth clients in addition to performing equity research. Before working in the Foundations and Endowments group, Kyle managed the Abbot Downing Select Equity Small Cap Strategy for several years.
Prior to Abbot Downing, Kyle was a portfolio manager with Lowry Hill, a predecessor firm of Abbot Downing. He started with Lowry Hill in 2007 as an investment associate. At Lowry Hill, Kyle was a member of the small cap, income equity, and large cap value strategy teams in addition to his client duties. Prior to joining Lowry Hill, Kyle worked in investment research at the South Dakota Investment Council, the organization responsible for managing the state pension fund. There he participated in global equity research as well as projects related to fixed income and investment accounting.
Kyle graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Dakota. He is a Trustee of the University of South Dakota Foundation and serves on the Investment Committee. Kyle is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and a member of the CFA Society of Minnesota. Kyle is also in the process of earning his Certificate in Risk and Investment Management from The Yale School of Management and EDHEC Risk Institute.
Kyle resides in Edina, Minnesota with his wife and two daughters.
