Nina is a director of Asset Management in Abbot Downing’s Boston office. Nina focuses on all facets of sourcing, researching, selecting for approval, and monitoring alternative private capital (including venture capital, buyouts, mezzanine debt, and distressed debt) and real asset (including timber, illiquid real estate, and farmland) fund investments for Abbot Downing clients. She is also engaged in asset allocation and portfolio construction within these sectors. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years serving wealthy families, endowments, pensions, and other not-for-profit institutions.
Since joining the organization in 2001, Nina’s experience has included similar roles for Wells Fargo Family Wealth, Wachovia’s Calibre Advisory Services, and Tanager Financial Services, all of which are precursor organizations to Abbot Downing. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Nina worked at Cambridge Associates for nearly five years, where she was a private equity and real estate research analyst. Previously, she also worked at Kidder Peabody in London and State Street Bank.
Nina earned her MS in Management from the MIT Sloan School where she concentrated in finance, information technology, operations, and accounting. She also received a BA with honors in history from Harvard College.
