Legacy and Wealth Planning
Taylor is the director of Legacy and Wealth Planning for the Southeast region. In her role, Taylor delivers a comprehensive suite of services to the region’s ultra-high-net-worth families, including our Abbot Downing Clarity process and customized estate and wealth transfer planning. She works with the region’s families to develop a holistic plan to meet both their personal and long-term financial goals, such as preserving, transferring, and managing their wealth. Taylor has provided wealth planning services to multigenerational families for almost 20 years.
Prior to joining Abbot Downing in 2012, she was a senior regional planner with Wells Fargo Private Bank in New York City. Before joining Wells Fargo in 2007, Taylor practiced law for eight years at the law firm of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York, where she focused her practice on estate and wealth transfer planning for wealthy families. She has significant experience with implementing trusts and related business structures to preserve, protect and grow family wealth in a tax efficient manner, as well as using such structures to fulfill her clients’ charitable endeavors.
Taylor earned her master of laws degree in taxation from New York University School of Law and her juris doctor degree from Tulane Law School. Taylor graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia.
Although currently not practicing, Taylor is a member of the New York State Bar Association. She currently lives with her daughter, Lillian, in Atlanta, Georgia.
