Thomas Abramo is a Portfolio Manager and Vice President, Asset Management in Abbot Downing’s San Francisco office. He is responsible for closely working with clients on all aspects of investment management focusing on customized portfolio construction including asset allocation and manager research. He serves as a member of the Abbot Downing Themes as well as Global Fixed Income Strategy teams working with traditional and alternative investments across multiple asset classes.
Thomas started with Wells Fargo & Co. in 2006 specializing as a Foreign Exchange Strategist on the San Francisco foreign currency trading floor before officially joining Abbot Downing in 2010. Prior to this, he was as a research associate conducting global macroeconomic analysis and buy-side equity research with American Funds, Capital Group Companies. He gained investment consulting experience with Willis Towers Watson and also practiced public accounting in both the tax and audit departments of Hood & Strong, LLP.
Thomas received his bachelor’s degree in business economics with accounting from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation and maintains his Certified Public Accountant license in clear status (not currently practicing). Thomas is an active member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of San Francisco, previously serving as a past audit committee chair member. Additionally, he is a Volunteer Wells Fargo Team Lead, Community Support Cabinet Member, and advocate for his office’s philanthropic charitable donations.
Thomas lives in Marin County with his wife and two children where he is actively involved with his community neighborhood association, environmental development, and local schools.
